HVAC Installer
Job Purpose:
Maintains environmental conditions by installing and maintaining
heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment; maintaining
records.
Duties:
- Organizes work by studying work orders, diagrams, specifications, drawings, and blueprints; gathering required materials.
- Establishes environmental systems by mounting, installing, fabricating, or connecting compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, temperature and humidity controls, fans, control panels, switches, fuses, filters, gauges, ducts, piping, tubing, and related components; completes power connections.
- Tests and repairs environmental systems by operation the systems; identifying malfunctions; repairing or replacing sealant, parts, and components.
- Keeps tools and equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventative maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Documents actions by completing equipment records.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

HVAC Technician
Job Purpose:
Serves customers by installing and servicing systems and products.
Duties:
- Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.
- Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
- Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
- Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs , and records.
- Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
- Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
