Troubleshooting Tips
If you are having trouble with your air conditioning system —
- Make sure that the thermostat is set to the "Cool" position, the fan is set to "Auto" and the temperature is set below the present room temperature.
- Make sure all power switches and breakers are in the "On" position.
- Note: Power companies cycle energy saving boxes on hot days to conserve power consumption; this could apply to you if you have a gray box mounted on your outdoor condenser (the red light will be on when this feature is activated).
If you are having trouble with your heating system —
- Make sure that the thermostat is set to the "Heat" position, the fan is set to "Auto" and the temperature is set above the present room temperature.
- Make sure all power switches and breakers are in the "On" position.
- Check the oil tank gauge to make sure you have a sufficient amount of oil in your tank. If you are low or nearing empty, call Vaughan to schedule a delivery.
